Genre:
I have chosen the 'Thriller' Genre; our group and I will recreate a film opening sequence based on a typical thriller opening. Following the order of the title sequences and the time frame, we will try to recreate that.
Initial Plot/ Storyline:
Initially, the main idea behind the opening title sequence involves a forest location in which a teenage girl is going to be filmed running away from her potential killer who turns out to be herself. She starts to run from one end of the forest- the opening, through the woods looking back every once in a while. She will hit her face or arm on a sharp branch consequently resulting in blood escaping her wound, at the same time she will have a flashback, it will end in her tripping over, struggling to get herself up, the mysterious figure catches up with her and grabs her, this is where the shot ends and the title appears as she takes her last breath.
Key character 'types':
The main character in the film opening sequence is a teenage girl who experiences the feelings of anxiety, confusion and is also paranoid and mentally unstable.
The figure dressed in all black with no revealed face is a character that wants to stay mysterious, appears in her flashbacks and is also chasing her through the forest.
Social Groups I may introduce....
There are only two characters which are the focus in the film opening sequence. Although, when filming the flashback scenes there will be local people present on a busy street or a local shop.
