Evaluation of Project:
Initially, we have started with picking a genre we would all enjoy working on- a thriller. I thought we could be very successful in recreating one of the film openings in this genre. We have picked the film opening called 'Gone Girl'.
We started to create and plan out each shot carefully by drawing it on a plan sheet as well as taking shot techniques into consideration for every frame . After watching the film opening a couple of times we directed our focus to how many seconds each shot lasts, what soundtrack is played in the background and where the titles are placed as well as the smooth transitions into the next shot.
Here are some examples;

We have four planning sheets in total. This has helped us to ensure all shots met the quality of what was in the film opening. The planning ahead was successful as it secured accuracy and made sure we did not miss any shots during filming.
Next, we took our team outside to film in several settings to recreate the settings in the film so that they looked similar when put together.

The making of the film opening was very successful as we have tried to explore different settings for taking shots. Which hopefully reflects the mood of the original film, consequently making it a good response to the genre that we have initially chosen.
Moreover, all people in the group were willing to get the job done, shared their ideas on where to film so we got the best shots possible as well as didn't give up so easily when something wasn't going to plan. In general, being open minded and full of ideas is what helped our film opening to be successful. Not being afraid of going out and finding the location ourselves and talking about the ideas in the group.
The editing stage was quite tricky when heading towards editing and inserting the title sequence into it. Although, we did it step by step to ensure we didn't miss any important shots. Our plan was well thought through which ensured it to have a successful outcome.
