In this unit we have made use of many different programs and developed many technical skills. One example is Premiere pro.
This has allowed us to edit our video footage adding many effects. This helped us to develop our project as we could use Premiere pro to cut out any unwanted parts and piece together the clips.
Another software device we used was after effects, this allowed us to edit effects and texts onto our clip that we would edit on Premiere pro.
After effects helped us to develop our project as we could use this to add effects to the clip such as fading and sound effects,as well as adding title credits on top of our clip.
We also learned how to set up a Tri-pod and use a camera. This allowed us to record something clearly without having an unsteady angle. This helped us develop our project as we were able to produce clear video's that were not hard to watch. We also learned about the 280 rule and different shot types. This allowed us to explore a different range of shot types instead of having the whole film from the same angle. The 180 degree rule helped us to understand that in the video when people are having a a conversation is it useful to get all of the scene in. This was useful to help us develop our project as we needed to use a wide range of shot types and make sure we used them correctly. We also learned about match cutting which allowed us to record one scene from two different angles without it being unclear. This was useful as we could use this in our project during scenes without it looking messy and unclear.
